Interestingly enough, in addition to the below error that I'm having with the Treo, I'm actually also having an error posting this message to the PalmOne Support Forums! I get an error "The body of the item you recently submitted contains text that violates site guidelines. If you wish to submit the item, please revise the wording." Why it violates site guidelines I have no idea, but that's actually how I found you guys here at EverythingTreo.com -- I had to search google for another support forum and guess who came up #1 on the list? (hint: it's a rhetorical question).
Before I describe the problem, let me give you some
background information:
I set up my new Treo 650 to sync with the Exchange server here at my company - which worked fine for about a week (and continues to work for the other few employees who do the same thing, though they use Cingular and I use Sprint, though that shouldn't make a difference, right?). One day my manager sent me a task through Exchange -- you know the kind, where you have to Accept or Decline. Well I was double booked, so instead of just declining, I declined with a comment ("can we do this an hour later?" sort of thing). When I tried syncing that decline I got an error. I can not recall the exact error but it had something to do with "...unable to sync task..." (not verbatim). After my deleting the message with the comment and the task itself didn't fix the problem I tried deleting the entire Exchange account and trying again - who cares, right, it will just resync my calendar anyway -- no harm done.... Or so I thought.
After deleting the entire account and setting it up again, I get a new error on sync which reads:
AirSAMSMEmail.c 2549 1
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal
Server Error Date: Tue,
07 Mar 2006 15:13:19
GMT Server: Microsoft-
IIS/6.0 X-Powered-By:
AS
Here are the steps I tried so far to fix this problem (that have not worked, obviously):
1) re-deleting and re-setting up the account
2) setting the prefs to only sync the last 1 day (thereby, i thought, not syncing the message that started this whole problem)
3) backing up the Treo, deleting the VersaMail folder & backup files doing a hard reset, setting it all up again.
(there is an article on this available at http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/W...Case=obj(36541) )
I'm quite frustrated at this point since I really need this for my job.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
