Excited 650

Ya hi all!! Im just introducing here from Sri Lanka. I am very exciting with my New Pa1mone 650 model.

Please help with a couple of thing if possible.

1. Can i send long sms on the treo650? I hope you understand?

2. I have installed filez to my treo with the hope of clearing a corrupt file on the SD card in a Media folder (a msg told me i have a corrupt file there). I have a photo DIR which appears empty though cannot be deleted as it says a file remains in there. Using fileZ to expand the DIR it simply Locks... Until i remove the SD card and its back to normal. Cannot access the APPS Card reader to format the SD card either. I dont have a PC card reader. Please advise.

There seems to be a 160-character limit on the networks here. Some carriers will split anything over 160 characters into 2 separate messages and other carriers get an error code and do not send the SMS. Check with your carrier.

The Treo Card Info doesn't give you the option to format the card? Or you tried to format and it didn't work?

When I access the card info App it automatically begins reading and PLEASE WAIT appears on the screen... forever. I guess it is finding the corrupt file and not going any further. As soon as i eject the card phone resumes as normal. What is the easiest way to clear this problem.

It sounds as though you're right and your Treo absolutely cannot get past that corrupt file. Have you tried a soft reset right after the hang on reading the card? Try that, then attempt to read/format the card again. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to borrow/acquire a card reader in order to access your media files. The good news is that prices have come way down and you can probably find one for as low as $10US.
