Question Finally got a SD card & want to use it, Help please?

    Hi
(phone info treo 650 with Earthlink {uses sprint towers} unlimited data)

Well it took a long time but I was finally able to get a 2G SD card so I made a Video & was able to transfer it Via Hot Sync to my PC but it will not play on my PC.

I also tried to E mail it to my PC but again no luck.

I am Treo Challenged & self taught on the PC so any & all info is greatly appreciated.

Oh please go lightly with the abbreviations.

For the longest time I thought "POS" was Piece of $hit :gasp:

    Thank You in Advance:smile:

First of all I would purchase one of theses

and then after you take your movie on your Treo make sure that it went to the memory card. Then pop it out of the phone into the card reader and then drag and drop the movie from the card to your PC. Make sure you have Quick Time Player updated and then try to view the movie.

Well I believe your treo encodes video into mpeg-4 format, so you will need a video player that plays that. I suggest something like Quicktime which will play that format or the Core Player.

    Quicktime: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Core Player (download the free player): http://www.corecoded.com/modules.php...&file=download

    Thank You fir the replies

I updated the Quick time on my PC & I got it to work ...I think.

Do I need to format the card?

How do I make the Treo use the card 1st or does it do it automatically?

    I can take 27,000+ photo's now:tounge:

    Have a Happy Holidays.

Most cards are plug and play. Palm desktop will let you install on card or treo. Try and keep most stuff on your card to keep the limited memory of the treo free.

A third party launcher goes a long way toward concerning main device memory. There are a "few" threads that discuss this. The applications to look at: ZLauncher, LauncherX, and Initiate.
