    Default frozen hot sync screen

I dont know what happened but my treo 650 screen is frozen in the hot sync screen and it reads "connecting with the desktop using cradle/cable" - I was n ot even trying to sync it. Ok I haven't synced in a while but that is because I do not need to, I only use the phone and take photos with it. I am afraid to hard reset it because I do not want to lose my photos. I wanted to transfer my photos to a scan disc so I will not risk losing the photos on reset but I cannot get out of the screen. HELP!!!

Have you tried the soft reset or just pulling the battery?

If you can get it back working I would use a card and card reader to try and save your photos. You might also try to sync but I think that will lock you up...

I tried pulling the battery but when it reboots, I get the same frozen hot sync screen which does not let me get to any other place. How do I soft reset? Will I lose my photos with soft reset?

    Thanks

No you will not lose them... With the battery cover off there is a small hole that you can insert your stylus to soft reset. If the screen keeps popping up you may have to do a hard reset which of course will erase your pics.
