Default Good GPS? (Help)

I will soon be making a long road trip from texas to florida. About 900 Miles. I was looking for a good GPS system for my treao 650. One I have been looking at was this

http://store.treocentral.com/content.../3-62--433.htm

The Seidio G4850M GPS system with TOM TOM.

It looks promising, but I was wondering if anyone else has used this? I havent found much in reviews on it from customers.

What do you guys think? Is it worthy of purchase or is tehre something else better?

No personal experience but from all the research I've done the Tom Tom setup looks like the best way to go with the Treo 650. The Tom Tom BT receiver has a great chipset and should receive signals withouth having a direct line of sight to the sky. I'll be picking up the Tom Tom set as soon as I see a descent price on ebay, lol.

I've got TOM TOM and this one
http://store.treocentral.com/content...10-95--550.htm

Only positive things to say. The battery lasts and lasts (two 3 hour trips plus a few 30 minute trips along a whole week), easy and fast to charge (and works while charging) and it's really speedy at getting signal and amazing at keeping it. It flew off my dash on an offroad trip and I didn't notice, nor did the gps program complain... i only noticed when I looked at the dash and found it on the car floor! It's also got a nice feature: it turns off after 5 min's if it does't have BT signal.

The thing I don't like with cradle GPS's is that you can't use them for any other device than the one the cradle is meant for. I can sahre this GPS with my wife's phone, my laptop, sell it off easier if I need an upgrade and transport it over to my 700p when it comes out!

And to think I was toying around with the idea of justifying a reason to buy a GPS system for my 650 just to run around Georgia and see how accurate it really is! What a buzz kill....

With budget justification suggestions like that, Plunker, you'll never make it up on Capital Hill.... !!!

Default Sold out - come again

Why is it, when I have some extra money to spend on me and my "toys", the things I want are always sold out?? After looking at the Siedo G4850M cradle + TomTom and at the GlobalSat thing and TomTom for weeks... I get ready to buy the GlobalSat and TT and it's not available till next week!! and the Siedo is out of stock with NO availability date!! ok fine, the Nokia bluetooth headset I've been wearing is uncomfortable, so I've been looking at replacing it with that Sony HBH-662 because of what people have said about it, here... Yep, its out of stock as well!!

I guess that's good news in a way...

oh yeah... those two items are out of stock everywhere I looked!! maybe a new recliner, then....
