Google "46645" not working - Treo Forums

I am trying to get my phone set up to do the sms google link. I send messages but I get no response. Any thoughts?? Thanks

I can't imagine why not, unless your message didn't go through (network problem, maybe?). I just referred someone to that service yesterday and used it myself, as well. I've used it many times. I've gotten responses asking me to be more specific about things, accept multiple responses, etc., but I've always gotten something back.

I know. I had someone show me how to do it and set my phone up. I have never gotten a response. I cannot figure out why.

What, exactly, do you mean by settng your phone up? I notice you posted about following a link earlier, too. I'm talking about sending an SMS message to the number 46645, like you would to any other cell phone.

Three weeks ago I was on a flight and a guy showed me how he used the 46645 function. So I set my phone with a google contact that I could message. It did not work at the time so I thought that I did something wrong. So I came back and did some research on the net. As it turned out, I did set it up correctly. I message that number and I get no response. Everything works, the message is sent, but no reply. I get no errors. My service is through Centennial Wireless, I am beginning to think that it is them.

I think you may be right. I've used the google SMS many times recently with Sprint and haven't had any problems.

Works fine for me, it's probably your carrier. But if you have a treo why not just use the google website?
