 |  Google maps ???? Saw this program on an Ipphone and it looks great. Questions. Do you have to download a map everytime you open program or does it save the last one? Once you have the map can you place in different destinations without it downloading or does it download each time? When we used google maps on the iphone I really don't see a reason for gps right now......waiting for a reply to download maps to my phone. Oh! load on card or phone? besides memory any advantage?

| Hi, yes Google Maps is great, especially the feature of finding businesses nearby the address you key in and putting them on the map too. I have Google Maps installed on my SD card and it works fine. I believe it redownloads the maps each time, if there is a way to save the map on the card I haven't found it yet. But it is still a good program

| The currently displayed screen and any locations you set up are cached, but as soon as you scroll or zoom, it will connect to download more map or satellite data.The program will run just fine from the card if you use something like PowerRun or ZLauncher, that's how I had it set up on my 650.

| Thanks guys, I had some problem installing it. I downloaded it to the treo on the web...I could not get it to install via palm quick install....grrrrrrrrrrr. I would have it on the treo and hot sync then move it to the card on quick install and hot sync with no luck..

| I would like to zoom in more closely to the map. Is there something on the treo that will enlarge the font or let me zoom in more than the google maps? Tough to see the street names.

   | Some areas seem to zoom closer than others . . I have used the driving directions feature within googlemaps several times now . . Great app!
