Default GPRS Question

Hi all! Well, I just received my new Treo 650 last night! Yay!

(Many thanks to EverythingTreo for lots of great info!!)

I have a quick question about accessing the web on the phone, though:

As far as I can tell, I just go to the Web/Blazer app to access the web/GPRS network.

(I'm a Cingular subscriber.)

Once I do that, two green arrows appear at the top of the phone above the signal strength bars.

Am I correct that that indicates that I'm accessing the GPRS network?

Can I receive calls and IM's while connected to it?

Then do I need to "disconnect" from the GPRS when I'm done with it? Or, do I simply move to whatever other apps or tasks I want to perform?

(I'm thinking back to when I used mMode with AT&T...I think there was the concept of "exiting" out of mMode and was wondering if the same thing exists here.)

It probably doesn't really matter from a $ standpoint because even if I'm connected to the network, I'm not actually downloading anything if I'm in another app. It's more that I'm curious.

Thanks in advance!

Sharon
