Default Hanging up on one call when two are active.

Is it me, or how does one properly hang up on one call and keep the second one active? I got a call waiting the other day, swapped to the second call, hung up on the second caller, but both calls were lost. I have to admit, I haven't really had to do this much so I have to imagine I am not doing it properly. Or, is this what is supposed to happen? TIA.

Have you consulted your User Manual? There is some great information in manuals.

If you don't have one, you can download your copy for the model and carrier you have at Palm.com. Here is a link to get you started:

No it's not just you.

I have yet to see how you can hang up on one call while maintaining another.

You can definately swap back and forth, but as soon as you hit end, it wants to hang up on both calls.

The flash thing not the greatest solution for that either.

I love this phone, but some days it really pisses me off with the lack of functions that should work!

There are a lot of features per phone carrier. So the info to check for the most actuarate (no carrier mentioned) is the dreaded users manual. The treo looks real complicated until you figure everything out either by the manual, searching posts here, or by posting.

Pdiddy glad to have you here but with posts like you just made the mods will be getting in touch with you.

I use the swap feature to go back and forth between calls. When one call is ended on my phone it auto disconnects (I guess by the party hanging up) and I continue with by other call.

I have used the green phone button like a flash button but sometimes it disconnects the parties on line. I may be hitting after the caller hangs up and placing my other call on hold then hanging up on them thinking that I dropped them. I hope this helps.

pdiddy:

So sorry that I p**sed you off. The recommendation to read the manual was made for several reasons:
1) This is a very complicated device at times.
2) It is complicated further by each carrier who seems to take joy in making changes to various functions for their own reasons. One branded Treo can do this, but another doesn't even have the same options.
3) All too often users try to take shortcuts just to get up and running, but they never really learn what their device is capable of.
4) I view the use of the manual on a level with learning how to use the search function in forums. Sure it is easier to ask and have someone explain something for you, but many questions have been asked repeatedly and just don't need a new thread.

Perhaps in your view it was a stupid answer, but I find it interesting that the original poster made no such response. Your answer was indeed much more informative and succinct...You can't get it to work either. And I am a jacka**. Nice!!!!
