    Default Headset volume

I can barely hear people when I am on a phone call (Treo650) weather it be on speaker phone or during conventional earpiece use and I have the volume all the way up.

Am I missing something? Do I need extra (poss 3rd party) software? I am obviously used to using Cell phones and this has never been an issue prior to the Treo650. Do I have a bum phone or is this a known issue? And if it is a known issue, is there a know fix?

    Default Treo volume

The volume on the Treo isn't good at all, the issue very well-known, believe me. You'll want to look into purchasing volumeCare. It'll do wonders.

Before purchasing my Treo I read thread after thread about the volume issue. When I got my T650 I have problems with the volume. Is it just me?

I've noticed a difference between my 650 and 700. The 700 is louder for sure. VolumeCare easily fixes the problem (if you discern it to be a problem) with the 650.

My first Treo was horrible as people continually complained they could barely hear me using a wired headset. As this was my first experience with a Treo I just thought it was the type of sound problem I kept reading about on the forums. After 3 weeks the Treo handset speakers stopped working. Not sure it was related to the the headset volume problem, but I took it back and was given a new one. The new one was completely different in volume levels and I found I didn't need VolumeCare. I still use it because I had purchased it, but have found it's not necessary on this Treo.

I guess I just got lucky... I've had my Treo since last September and volume has never been a problem, in any direction... Handset is fine, as is my bluetooth headset, and even with a pair of headphones using the little 3.5 to 2.5mm adapter I bought here... it even drowns out the jet engine noise in the cheap seats of airline jets! I truly fear ear damage if the sound (and music) were boosted!

I'll count my blessings that my superphone hit the assembly line at the perfect time!
