Hello? Can't hear or be heard... except with earphone

Same thing... happened today. No one can hear me... and I can't hear anyone... I can send receive text and emails... just can't place any calls because I can't hear or be heard... HELP!

The same thing happened with my 650. I think the problem happens with those who utilize the ear piece frequently. I used to use the ear piece to listen to the mp3s and it after about 5-8 months of using the ear piece my Treo would not go back to the default mode. It was stuck in the ear piece mode even with the ear piece unplugged. The problem could not be fixed until I got a new Treo. I'm with Sprint so I had to get another 650 (did not want to upgrade to a new version, didn't see the need to) and switch my Sprint's ESN number to the new phone.

The problem was it was stuck in that ear piece mode. You can tell because if you get or make a call you do not see "Speaker" on the screen. I think it's a problem with the circuitry motherboard. I'm not going to use my ear piece anymore.
