Default HELP - Double Calendar Listings Won't Go Away!

Treo 650, using Mac w/ Missing Sync

Recently moved to a new time zone in the Pacific Rim (from California) - the major timezone difference is wreaking havoc with my Treo 650 calendar. Almost every single listing that had any kind of time stamp (as opposed to those that had "No Time" selected) shows up TWICE on the TREO completely cluttering up my calendar and making looking for past references almost impossible. The zone change makes almost every entry appear as a duplicate entry day later with a time stamp, in addition to the original entry. I have looked and looked all through the program guides and the web trying to find a way to make the duplicate entries vanish in one fell swoop, but I cannot find a solution. It seems to me I need to somehow completely shut off any kind of "time zone automation" - yes I went into Date and Time prefs and switched "use network time" ON and OFF, and same with the Calendar "use Timezones" - ON and OFF ---- same problem no matter what!

My goal is to have nothing but the original event listing with NO "(xx:yy am/pm PST)" listing next to any sort of duplicate entry (all the duplicates have that time stamp tacked on to the end like that) and in short no duplicate entries AT ALL. Help!

    PLEASE ADVISE!
    THANK YOU!!!!

Have you tried to verify if your calender is correct on your mac? If it is, do a sync with pc to override handheld on that one conduit. Let us know if that works for you.

Yep tried that several times - does not change a thing. Even if the entry looks fine on iCal, it still gives me the original entry and the second time zone entry on the Treo.

    MORE INFO:
The problem is purely TIMEZONES, but now during all Syncs (Missing Sync) the categories of the "EVENT TYPE" (i.e. Business, Friend Meeting, etc) are switching around, and sometimes whole task lists vanish after a Backup to iCal. Restoring from a Backed Up iCal database is no longer solving any of these problems. Even when I do a "pc overwrites handheld" and restore a Task List, then a new problem shows up....???

I NEED A WAY TO GLOBALLY SET "NO TIME ZONE" IN **** ALL **** EVENTS...... HOW DO I DO THIS???
i.e. how to "FLATTEN" all timezone settings throughout -- there IS a "No Time Zone" choice in each individual task, but not in the Date & Time prefs....How to set ALL events to have this "No Time Zone" setting in One Fell Swoop!????

    PLEASE ADVISE!

I know this is an old thread, but I just added omnifocus so that I can do more with tasks.

Now I have this problem. Has anyone found a solution?
