HELP! HotSync Issue

I have had my 650 since '05 and and never had a problem. Upon my last HotSync I got an error message that I needed to delete data and that the "operation could not be performed". Pretty much all the data on the device was calendar info from December '05 until now. Just a few pictures, no new software or any music. I deleted all but the calendar info for the last year and re-tried to HotSync to no avail. Does anyone out there have any insight as to what might be the cure here?
