    Default Help identifying my treo

    Hi have a brand new treo 650 cdma.. I was told it was sent to someone to get unlocked and maybe refurbished... Well im not quite sure what i got and i want to sell it but cant until i know how to list it.... When i try to make a call it says something bout phone hasnt been set up with sprint... The serial number is PTGX0B35H0AV.........And the software is palmtreo650-1.03-bmo..... Can someone help me and tell me if my phone is unlocked. and if it is not what carrier is it locked to....

    That's not Sprint firmware. Sprint firmware ends in SPNT or SPCS. I'm not sure what BMO is. Bell, maybe?
    In any event, unlocking is for GSM phones, not CDMA.

    BMO could mean Built My Own, and the thing has a custom rom in it. If it was "sent to someone to get it unlocked" seems like it would have gone back to "someone" I'd be a bit wary of this phone and hope you dont have much invested in it. It could be legit, or it could be lost or stolen. Depending on how you came into posession of it, you might be able to get it activated, but if it has bad numbers expect a bumpy ride from any carrier when you try to turn it on.

    i think you might be right about BUILT MY OWN. There was a bunch of these phones sent to this guy and redid them all from what i was told.. I would i know for sure that i can take this to any cdma carrrier and it would work?? Or if it is only allowed to work with one??

    or it might be bell mobility. Either would seem to be a possibility
