Help...I've dropped my treo - Treo Forums

My treo went flying yesterday and I just couldn't quite catch it. It seemed OK but.....it's not.

When I call someone I can hear the first ring then nothing. They can hear me but I can't hear them. I guess I need to send it off to get repaired. Any body know a good place to send it.

I'll try a hard reset before it goes to a shop.

If the hard reset and even the zero out reset (the truly HARD reset http://www.palmone.com/cgi-bin/cso_k...ID=887#zeroout ) doesn't help, you may want to check out Chris Short and see what he can do for you.

Thanks so much for providing the link to the article on Chris Short, I just sent him an e-mail about my phone.

I just purchased my Treo 650 last week on ebay, so I had it 4 days before I was golfing with my dad for a late fathers day present. It started raining midway through our round so we hustled back to our car. While we were heading back I grabbed my phone and put it in my lap

. Of course I forgot about it, get out of the golf cart and the phone falls the 4 or so feet to the ground. The POS Smartphone Experts CrystalCase for Treo 650 that I purchased flew off the instant it hit the ground. I picked it all up, and hurry it into the vehicle. When I turn it on a few minutes later I see my prize, a vertical crack all the way across the screen.

The resets didn't work so off it goes to sprint.

Just a little note that is kind of weird.
I did not have insurance so they are going to charge me $35.00 to fix the phone?????? The insurance is a $50.00 deductable and then a refurbished or comproble phone. I come out better in this case.

I guess the insurance is good if the phone is unrepairable or you have lost it
