| HELP! Messaging problems, Errors, Text Limits? Hello fellow Treo users...!
I need some help with MESSAGING on my Treo 650.
First problem is I cannot send a message to anyone. I get a network connection interupption error. I can't text message or email. I have tried this several times and no luck! I do use my messaging for only one purpose...Yahoo's Mail for Mobile....which allows me to use filters to forward certain messages with the "rules" I set. THe problem with this is it cuts off most of the email text...I am only getting the first line (and there is no more visible by hitting go to message or more). Anyone know if I can get more? I cant get Versamail to work w/ my Yahoo. I have Yahoo DSL but I read somewhere you need premium (?) service to access your mail on your PDA.
Also what does MMS mean? This also does not work...
I have cingular and have tried sending to a fellow cingular cell phone, email addresses, contacts...etc.
Can anyone help me...PLEASE! THANKS

I don't have Cingular, but I'd imagine the text messaging should have been set up when they activated your line. Even if you didn't have a plan, you'd think they would set it up so they could bill you incrementally. If they're anything like Sprint, you may need to call them from a different number so they can get you up and running. Quote: |

Yahoo charges $20/yr for pop forwarding, which also gives you a huge inbox. I've been using Yahoo pop forwarding on PDA's for years, since before they started charging for it. Quote: |

MMS allows compatible cell phone users to exchange multimedia messages on their phones, such as graphical postcards, animations, video clips, maps and business cards. MMS is considered a service for third generation systems. I don't know how it works with Cingular, but with Sprint, we seem to be limited to their PictureMail on a Treo.

If you have contacts set up with 10-digit numbers, you should be able to text them, as well. A text can be sent to an email address, also, though it will show up as coming from something like the cingular address you typed above.
