    Default Help please

    Hi there,

    I've just got a relatively new new 2nd hand Treo 650. It all seems to be working ok until I turn the phone on. When I do this it searches for my network and about 10 seconds after connecting the handset turns itself off.
    The phone definately works ok but I can't seem to find out what I'm doing wrong, if anyone could offer any advice it would be much appreciated.

    Congrats, Greg, on getting your Treo. When you say it turns off after about 10 seconds, is that while you're in the phone application (keypad on the screen)? Have you tried opening another app? If so, do you get the same result?

    Hi there
    All the other applications appear to work ok, it's just when I'm in the phone application and it's connected to my network.

    Have you tried changing the "screen on" time in the Prefs? From the phone app, hit the menu button, then choose Options, then System Prefs. You'll see a choice for power. Select that and you can set the amount of time your screen stays on with no activity. The dialpad won't stay lit forever, like a regular cell phone that's open, btw.

    Yeah I've tried that. I think it must be something to do with the network. I'm going to give them a call in the morning and hopefully they'll be able to sort it out one way or the other
