| Help setting up VersaMail I have done a serach and didn't find an answer to my question. I am going to be as specific as possible on my issues.
I have recently added the data package to my phone. I have two e-mail accounts set up in my Outlook as well as on my Treo. Both accounts have the exact same names and settings in the two locations. Both of them are POP mailboxes.
I have my Outlook set to retrieve the messages and remove them from the mail server. I currently have my Treo set up the same way.I have both accounts set up in my HotSync conduit manager and both are checked to enable HotSync synchronization. When I HotSync, it retrieves the messages from the Treo and removes them from the Treo. However, they never show up in my Outlook like I had intended it to work. I looked around in Palm Desktop and can't find them there either.
I like how when I HotSync it pulls them from the Treo and delets them off the device. I just need help on the proper way to set up Outlook and/or HotSync so that once the e-mail is pulled from the Treo it is transferred to outlook.
Also, in HotSync I have the option to sync my inbox and outbox, but nothing else. Is there anyway to sync the sent items and anther folder I have created? Thanks.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. In case, you are wondering I am trying to set it up this way so that I don't end up with multiple copies of the same message (1 on the Treo and one on the PC). It is much easier to just deal with it once and automate the process to combine them.

| can someone, anyone, help me with this. I have got it all figured out with one exception. When I hotsync the Treo, it brings up the VersaMail stuff and says it is gathering the e-mail messages. I look back on the treo after the sync and there are no messages on it. But when I open Outlook, the messages are not showing up. Can someone please help. Where is hotsync putting my messages?

| In the hot sync manager under custom besure you have the sync set to "sync" .
There I believe are four options do nothing, handheld overwrite pc.pc overwrite handheld and sync.
I have mine set to leave a copy on the server so my pc has it all the time. |

| Thanks for the reply Plunker. I have checked all of that multiple times. Both of my e-mail accounts are set up to synchornize and I have the Enable Hot Sync checked in the advanced settings. I even created the mailboxes for VersaMail using the wizard and it detected the two accounts out of my Outlook, but it won't transfer my messages from the Treo inbox to my Outlook inbox. I really need to figure this stuff out. Thanks again Plunker. Any other ideas? Is what I want to do even possible?

| Benjie:
Thanks for the reply. Not too terribly helpful, but thanks anyways. I had already test run both of the ones you mentioned as well as Inbox to Go and Agendus Mail. None of them really have what I need.
The item I am looking for first and foremost is a way to download e-mail to my Treo from the mail server and remove it from the mail server. Then when I hot sync I would like to have hte e-mails moved from my Treo and added to my Outlook inbox. Is this even possible?
The second item I need is to be able to set up mail filters where certain e-mails are not downloaded. I have VersaMail set up that way right now. We use ShareCalendar at my office and the calendar updates are sent from person to person via special e-mails. I do not need these e-mails on my device. I can set up VersaMail to ignore any message with the Subject given my ShareCalendar. I have not found that any of the other 3rd party e-mail apps have this ability.
Can someone help me set up VersaMail to do what I want or to recommend a 3rd party app that does both things I am looking for. I am not willing to pay $50 for an app that will not fulfill both needs. Thanks.

| You can set versamail to remove e-mails from your server like you want. I would think that you could set handheld to overwrite versamail in your pc to copy (not remove )those e-mails to the inbox. Is that what you have set up?
Versamail limits the size of file to download so I don't use it for my primary e-mail. |

| Plunker. Thanks again for the reply. I do have VersaMail to pull the messages of the server and remove them. It is working that way right now. The issue I am having is that when I HotSync, I can not get those messages into my Outlook. When I check on Custom in the HotSync Manager, I have only two options, 1 Synchronize or 2 Do Nothing. I do not have the standard 4 options like you desribe.
Just to let you know, I have VersaMail set to download the entire message with attachments. Unfortunately as I just found out, I only have so much room on the device's RAM. I may have to find another app anyway, just need to find the one to fit my needs now. I have searched through the Essential Apps thread as well as searched for E-mail Apps and found little. Is there a definitive list somewhere of all of the available e-mail apps out there. Thanks.

| You might check out the palm.com knowledge base or the FAQ knowlwdge base here on this site. (Top of page) I would think someone here uses versamail like you are trying to set up.
When mine was set up to sync the pc outlook to my handheld that is what caused my resets. |
