Help! Treo propogating unsolicited emails

Hi,

I just got my VZW Treo on Tuesday and began testing different email programs yesterday. I have Versamail, Snappermail, and Chattermail installed. This morning, I opened Chatter and it starting sending messages, but I hadn't left anything in the outbox. I stopped the send, picked it up a few minutes later, and there were 32 messages in the outbox! I cancelled again, immediately shut off the phone, and haven't turned it on since. The IMAP email address it was sending from has 15 messages in the Sent folder that got through.

Can the Treo get viruses or trojan horses? I suppose I can hard reset to get rid of anything that might be causing the problem, but I really don't know how this started in the first place.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!!

I did a search about Treo viruses on Google and came across a message about a bug in Chattermail that dumps your inbox into your outbox. Has anyone else heard of this or had this problem?

I've been a Chatter Email user for some time now and never seen this issue. Not to say that it isn't occuring. I suggest sending Marc Blank an email telling him about your issues. He is amazingly fast at responding to your inquiry. The best support I've ever seen!
