What are the up sides of the treo (that I probably haven't been told about) and what are the down sides (that I probably would have never known)? And also, where can I find a treo 650 for cheap? Martin:
I am a hardcore Pocket PC guy, and I am pleased with my Treo 650. For my needs of calendaring, taskpad, and contacts management, it is a good tool. And I am only beginning to learn its possibilities.
Price: I got mine for $249CAD (cheap!). I told my Roger's network that Bell was trying to lure me away to a cheap new plan with them. I also told them that they were offering me the 650 for $350CAD at $50CAD a month for a family plan with unlimited long distance. Roger's immediately turned around and offered me many financial reasons to stay with them, including the Treo 650 brand new for $249CAD. They also matched the Bell monthly plan rates, and gave me a Nokia 6101 for free for my wife. And they threw in another 100 bux in accessories.
If you already have a cell phone contract in your life, shop around and maybe try a comparison in your area. You may be in a similar position to play the providers off each other for a reduced 650 price!
