Nope, no outstanding messages. It just keeps blinking. Is there a place to turn off the LED?
    Thanks again

So on the telephone screen in the upper left your phone reads "Phone Off" and the green led is still blinking? You could try while in the phone screen, go to Menu, select Options, General Preferences and uncheck "Blink green LED when in coverage".

However, if the phone is indeed off that should not have any affect and I would guess kdallen is correct; it is probably an alert of some type. I know you said you had no messages, but did you try actually dialing in to the voicemail to make sure? My Treo is not the best in the world at notifying me of missed messages all the time. Also go in and check for text messages. Providers sometimes send texts even if you may not be expecting one.

Beyond that I am at a loss.

    Sorry,

The green/red charging light on the top left. It seems to have a mind of it's own. It was flashing fast green for a day and 1/2. I have no new messages, no new text messages... Today it is flashing a slow green??? It doesnt turn red when I plug it in to charge like it should. Crazy little Treo. Maybe it's posseded?

    Any advise is helpful! Thanks!

You should probably list the software you have installed and also list any you installed and then removed. Sounds like something has indeed taken over the LED function. I am not sure what you mean by fast green or slow green. I never timed mine, but when the phone is on and in the Sprint coverage area mine looks like it blinks green every two to three seconds.

Mine has always changed to steady red when the charger is plugged in.

I think that in your first post that you mentioned having loaded software from a previous palm device and then removed that. Older programs not designed for the Treo/Palm system can screw around with the Treo's operation as they are not usually compatible.

Have you read the documentation for the programs you have installed to see if they mention changing the LED's function for a certain function of their program? I just wonder if this relates to one of your older programs? Perhaps some files are left over and in conflict.

Have you done any resets to see if that restores original function?

You might try to disable the light. On the mainphone screen push menu, arrow over to options, select general prefs. and uncheck the led light flashing. This won't solve your problem with old software but it should stop flashing.

Kind of. My light is off but if I plug it into the charger the light is red charging, green charged.

If the blinking service LED bothers you, try LEDoff, a simple utility that does what it says. Some much more full-featured utils, such as Butler, feature LED control as well.
