Horrible Sound

Hello fellow Treo users, I need some help suggestions. I love my treo but the phone stinks. When I am at the office or in a quiet place the phone works wonderful alebit very low sound. However, when I am walking outside or even driving in my care the person on the other end complains of hearing too much noise. Not such a little noise but a so loud they can not hear. I hear them great alebit low sound

My question is... Is my phone decfective? or

Is this normal for the phone to pick up all that ambient noise?
Is there software to help with the low volume and ambient nosie issue? I searched the forum and saw a suggestion for the sound but did not see if that helped with the background noise.

It may very well be defective but I'd suggest you test it out yourself. While in the company of your friends, switch phones and place a call and hear for yourself how "horrible" the background sound is.

If it's that bad, I'd suggest returning it back for a replacement.

As for the volume level on the Treo, get VolumeCare and you can boost the handset volume so that you'll definitely hear the other end LOUD AND CLEAR!

VolumeCare was the 1st app installed on my Treo 650! Can't say enough good about it! But it is a shame that you have to buy an app to make your phone useful . . . . .
