Hotsync.exe problem!

Can someone help me out with this issue? I've essentially installed, uninstalled and reinstalled about 10 times during the past two days and I'm exhausted with this Treo. It's a nice little thing, but the software is just...no comment.

I had to install a real estate management program onto the Treo 650 (Top Producer 7i) and during the sync operation, an error message regarding the file 'hotsync.exe' (located here at C:\Program Files\palmOne\Hotsync.exe if you installed it using the default folders/settings) occured. It said it was outdated...soooo

I did a search on the web and noticed that the palm.com website had a hotsync.exe updater, which I downloaded and replaced in the exact location where they wanted me to put it at. However, now I have an even more distubring error that occured. Whenever I load Hotsync Manager, I get this error message:

The procedure entry point ?SetLogFunc@CTransportBase@@QAEXP6GXPADH@ZH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library CMDS21.dll

I'm thinking the coding within the new hotsync.exe file is corrupted or incorrect and incompatiable. Any way to solve this problem or even send me an original hotsync.exe file which I can replace without having to uninstall and reinstall for the 5th time?
