HotSync Help!!!!!
Hi guys, here i am again with a new problem
i read the post where you can add movies and dvds to your treo... and i did it, i add 2 dvds to my treo, plus, i put a lot of my music in the SD... i was really happy cause i did all this followin all the instructions and it really works.. i use a program called CARD EXPORT 2.22 to put all the dvds and music in my treo...(by the way it's a 2 GB SD) and everything works really great... but when i want to Synk my treo... everything goes rigth, until apears synk Multimedia... then the syncronization don't pass from there... it stuck cause ill wait like 10 minutes, and still was synk Multimedia.... so, i want to synk my photos and videos... obviusly i don't want to sync the SD cause there are LARGE files, and, if im rigth, this cant be done with the sync... and by the other way, i can't install more programs cause the sink process stucks there.... so... CAN ANYONE HELP ME???????:frown: :frown: :frown: :frown:

The first thing I would try is disabling that conduit in Hotsync Manager.

I did it!!!! but i don't know why the sync manager persist in sync the multimedia... but, the only way that i can sync my phone it's taking off the SD from the treo... in this way works... but i don't know if this is good or bad, cause, if anything happens to my SD... i will loose all my programs and info rigth?

In what directory on the SD card do your movie files live? If they're in the DCIM folder, move them out and the conduit probably won't see them and get hung up during the hot sync. To do this, install a directory manager, like Filez, and move the movie files out of the DCIM folder and up one level to the main SD card directory (root). Worked for me.
Only thing is you may have to point your movie player to the new movie file location.
Good luck.

i did what you say, i even create a folder named Videos and other othe named My Music in the SD directory... but still having problems, the problem was a file inside the folder DCIM... somehow, this files put a dvd movie inside AGAIN for no reason... so, i erase everything in the DCIM folder, and now i sync my treo :D thanks a lot!!!!!!! I broke down and bought a $10.00 card reader (usb) and it works great and easy to use. Reminds me of a memory stick. I just sync treo stuff and load the card with the reader.
Try it you will like it! hmmm....from a commericial or movie can't remember...
