HotSync will not complete sync

I really wish my first post on here was something different however..

i just got the phone off craigslist, i did the whole reset thing and now it wont complete the hotsync, although everything will transfer to my phone i.e. apps and music.. it stays at syncing media and wont complete!.. also anyone know where i could get the mini screws for underneath the battery cover? thanks!

Do you have the media sync thing installed? A card reader though is faster.

yeah i was trying to do a quick install.. it always takes forever to sync media.. most the time i never let it finish because it has already taken 20 minutes

you may have a corrupt pic on your phone. try setting the hot sync conduit for media to do nothing and see if your sync will complete. You may have to delete your pics of the phone to get it to sync. You can email or if on a card use a reader to transfer any pics to your pc before you delete them.

If all of your pics are all ready on your pc I think you can delete the pics folder and your next sync will install the folder and your pics that are on your pc....if it is a corrupt pic

I am not sure about replacing the folder I was thinking of a folder on a sd card not in the palm memory..

lol... i got rid of the pics.. hotsync was successful however now i have screen that says "Plug your phone in the charger and press ok" when the phone is fully charge.. this message wont go way

Not sure when you are getting your message.. but if you had a good sync I would do a hard reset and use your phone for a couple of days before syncing (or what ever test period you want). After the test period sync and see if your problems come back, if they do you have something else corrupted.

You can get a screw set for the 650 on Ebay. Just search for screw set treo 650. Three will come up. One is from the US and ships quick.
