How do you put on your screen protectore without showing bubbles....
I swear its like tinting a window but I dont have a small squeegy! I am trying to put on my screen protectors without showing airbubbles and lines and looking like crap....so far not so good! When I bought my treo I had a friend who just slapped one of her screen protectors on there and said "here you go...this will last you till you buy some" well i bought some and cannot for the life of me (ive tried twice so far) get it to look as good and smooth as she did. i wished i would have watched her...anyways..is there a trick to doing this...i hate my treo looking like crap and I dont want to take off the protector because I know i need it...any and all help is appreciated!

My wife did mine and it looks pretty good. Can you find your friend and have them redo it.
I am pretty good working on stuff but those screen protectors and plumbing I call for assistance. Good Luck

I guess practice makes perfect...I read another thread that talked about this...i am just going to use a credit card to squeegy out the airbubbles as I put it on. thanks!!

I gave the invisibleSHIELD a try and it has been the greatest protection investment I have made for my Treo! It is a plasticy film like what I assume you are using, but it is also very different. The company says it is the same film used to coat helicopter blades. They say it wan't get scratched and won't break. I can't validate this statement as I have not had it for very long, and personally I bet it will get scratched at some point, but if it gets scratched, take it off, send it back, and they will replace it. (As for breaking, I tried to tear the extra part that remained after I peeled it off the paper backing, and I could not. I pulled and wrapped it around my fingers and everything, it just streched and then returned to it's regular shape. This is not like other plastic screen covers.)
The other awesome property of this plastic is the adhesive. Unlike other products I have used which make color aberrations, this product does not, ever. It is so clear and natural in fact that people have told me I should put a cover on the screen to protect it from scratching.
The coolest part of this product has to be the application. It shipped with a little spray bottle with a fluid in it. The instructions told me to visit and website and watch an installation video which I did. The installation can be minimally summarized as follows:
- Wash hands
- Clean screen
- Spray finger with unknown liquid
- Spray film with unknown liquid
- Apply film to screen (it will not be sticky and will slide to desired position)
- Squeegee liquid to edges of film and blot dry with lint free cloth
- Let set for 24 (or 10 in my case) hours
Result: CLEAN, smooth, BUBBLE-FREE, invisible and most of all EASY installation. DO NOT fear the liquid, I was scared to put all that liquid on my Treo, and on top of that push it all the edges and maybe get some under the bezel. I had no ill effects. I was amazed.
I could NOT be happier with this product. It has already lasted 5x longer than the regular plastic screen protectors I have tried. It has not even one scratch. And as a bonus, it doesn't attract oils as easily as the normal screen, so I don't even have fingerprints where I hit the onscreen phone buttons.
I will never use any of the other plastic protectors I have used before. Check them out: http://www.theinvisibleshield.com/

I've had bad experience with screen protectors as well...
but I find that the 650's a pretty stout device that doesn't really need them anyway. I've had my 650 for quite a while now, and there's only one very minor blemish on the screen. I've dropped my 650 several times-even on concrete-and it just keeps on chugging along without a hitch. I'm in the military, and my Treo has been handled by several people-who while playing 'Farkle' with me-act as if they're stabbing the screen with the stylus, and we all have dirty hands, and my 650 is no worse for the wear. Screen protectors are for the paranoid. I prefer my Treo to be naked.

Just a thought...
I would think that if you used your stylus on a naked screen that after a while you would be able to tell where that stylus touched the screen over and over repeatedly...leaving a dull mark...how long have you had your treo and do you use your stylus often?? I remember about a year ago I was on a plane trip to San Luis Obispo California and this business lady in front of me had a pda...she was using her stylus...jotting down some notes...she turned the pda off and the screen looked horrible from the wear and tear and tapping the same place over and over...we have such a small screen that its easy to stay in the same area on most applications...just a thought!
