how to delete text contacts

Please help...
How do I delete the list of contacts that I have sent texts to on the compose screen (the list that drops down when you hit the arrow next to the "To:")?
I saw one post where the mentioned using "FileZ", but I am not computer literate and don't have internet on my treo, I just use it as a phone & send texts.
Is there any way to clear the list just using buttons on the phone?
If not can you explain in "idiot terms" where to get & how to use "FileZ"?
