How to do full backup to SD card?

I’m having Hotsync problems, and need to do a hard reset to try and resolve. Unfortunately since I can't hotsync, I can’t backup to my desktop. So, I need to do full backup to my SD card, do the hard reset, and, assuming this resolves my hotsync problem, do a full restore from the SD card. Is this possible? I don’t have any special backup apps installed.

IMO, this is one program you should buy - this, an uninstaller (though I am using a freebie - Destaller Lite - right now, I have found out it has a limitation) and a memory card are critical. I had to do my first hard reset yesterday and my Resco backup on my SD card had me going again in no time.

Stillrockin and I were exchanging PMs a couple of weeks ago about how newbies on this site (myself included) are often the first to jump in with help, because they very likely had the very same issue not that long ago, and the fix is still fresh in their mind.
It reminds me of a quote from ER about learning new procedures, "see one, do one, teach one." I think it's great!

Kreth, I installed the program you suggested above (BackupBuddyVFS). Set it up to do backup ED at 5am. Removed it after it stated it would expire in 14 days. Then the phone woke me up at 5am doing a reset, after I had uninstalled it. Any ideas how to fix that?

It sounds like there's still something out in the Prefs. Reinstall BB, disable the scheduled backup, and then delete it again. Also, make sure that when you delete it, you select the option to remove files and related prefs.

I don't recall an option to delete related files and prefs? I typically delete from option menu. Is there a better way? Am I just deleting the icon by doing it this way?

Also, what is a premier Uninstall App that I should get purchase?

To get you through this problem - go here: http://www.rogame.com/pages/Destaller.html
and download the "Lite" version which is free. I am using it and it works. Then do as Jeff said above - reinstall and the de-install with Destall Lite. All you did is delete the application, not the underlying code. Just like dropping an icon in the trash on a PC - it does not get rid of the full application.

Then take your time and find a good un-installer.
