    Default How to restore data??

    Just got my sprint phone back from the repair shop. It looks like they sent me a new phone!!

    My question is I am restoring data via hot sync (desktop overwrites handheld) but it seems the hot sync is taking extremely long or is stuck in versamail. Do I have to set versamail up again or will the hot sync do it?

    My next step is getting tmpcp back on the treo

    That would make sense. The initial sync should take awhile.

    I don't use versamail, but I'd guess that a hotsync might not do it and you may have to re-configure versamail on your Treo.

    The hot sync finally ran, but I had one line that said restore failed but everything seems to be there. I wonder if I need to have my phone active for everything to hot sync. Sprint is closed today (4th) so I can't activate the phone until tommorrow.

    Can't say for sure, but I don't think having the phone activated would matter.
