Default How to set up sync to...

Ok long story short fiancee wants me to delete quite a few people out of my phone book she believes it will better the relationship. But thats neither her nor there, my question is I am about to delete my whole phone book and want to set up sync to where it will sync all of my contacts back to my phone when I sync. And not wipe all of the contacts out if i go to sync and the computer syncs to the phone. Hope this makes since. Basically I want the phone to sync to the computer everytime and not the other way around.

I misread that, it is rather confusing. If you want to sync all of your contacts back to the phone, then you want to go with "Desktop Overwrites Desktop," which means what you took out comes right back UNLESS you SYNC them, then the Palm Desktop merges them, which has in the past been a bit of a problem on some older devices.

You can always make those listings she has problems with as "private" or just tell her that ...

To custom setup your hotsync. Open palm desktop on your pc. Click on hot sync (top of page), custom then you can set the individual conduits there. If you need more detail let us know.

You can set groups for contacts on your phone. The phone can stay in that group unless you change it at the top of the page. Just don't leave it in private or all menu.....hmmmn still a gamble.
