Hi all,
My son moved away a couple years ago & our only means of contacting him is through long distance phone calls. Gets to be real expensive.
He has a cell phone but when I call him I get charged.
If he had the treo 650 would I be able to email him? Can he surf the web?
Now don't laugh at me, I'm not up on this new tech stuff.:rolleyes:

yes he could send email and recieve and also text messages but you would still have to pay charges for the services.....for instance I pay 70 a month approximately for my cell phone plan and unlimited data plan. the data plan is what he would need for the email to work and the text messages

Oh thanks! He's paying $70+ now cuz he runs over his minutes alot. Maybe he could break about even if he could email & it sure would save on my phone bill.

Your son could grt an unlimited data plan that will allow him to spend as much time communicating via email. It's fast and works great!!! Good luck!
