I searched but my speed dial won't work!!!
When I attempt to press and hold a button I've assigned to a speed dial number, nothing happens. I remember in the past being able to do this but for some reason, now I cannot. I'm in the "phone" section of my Treo but I get bubcus!!! Even if I attempt to speed dail voicemail which is preset, it won't work. HELP!!! Thanks so much in advance! :laugh3:

The number your holding does not display as being pressed? The key board is not locked? Either phone button wakes up key board but it needs to be unlocked if that feature is enabled on the treo.(unlock by holding center nav button) Sorry if this basic not sure how well you know your phone. I would try a soft reset.
OH! Yeah, any new software added to your treo?

If you are running a third party launcher, that application may be maintaining control of the keys - this happens with ZLauncher. Ben

Oooooo!!!!!
ZLauncher!!! I use that. Is there a fix?
-
yes there is you need to go to the home page for z launcher and get to support and they should have a patch that will release the phone hold.

Let's give that a whip! Thanks so much for all your help! Hope this wasn't an overly posted question.

WHOOPS!!! I'm sorry...I used LauncherX...NOT ZLauncher. Man. I'm trying to find some help with this app...anyone use it?

The launcher is maintaining control over the keys - disable the launcher, execute a soft reset and see what happens. You might look at TakePhone 7 by SHSH software - www.shsh.com - using it means you are no longer stuck with the built-in way of doing things. In addition, it adds so many more options that you will get to the point of wondering how you ever got along without it.
