I Want To Restore my treo 650
hello again Friends and treo lovers... today i was looking on my treo 650 internal memory and i saw that only have 2.9 MB free... and, i have install the big apps in the SD...
ill been installing and uninstalling software in my treo since i have it (like 3 weeks ago i think)... anyways, the thing is that i want to restore my treo to the factory settings, and #1. I don't know how to do it.
#2. i don't want to restore and syncronize it, and the install all again.
so anyone tell me how can i restore to the factory settings, and how can i do to don't sync again all the stuff...

Here's the link on Palm's website on how to do the various resets. You want to do the hard reset. Before you Hotsync, just rename your user folder, usually found at:
c:\program files\palm one\\[username]\backup
If you do this, you can then reinstall your apps one at a time.

About your apps - first thing to look at is a third party launcher (all ready talked about) and there are several available, from just launching to completely customizing the device. I suggest at this stage to look at something that just does launching and those would include launchers such as LauncherX, Initiate, Power Run and ZLinks. There are others such as ZLauncher, but that may be more than what you want or need.
There are applications that can live happily on the card or just insist on being in RAM in order to operate properly. Those that must be in RAM in order to operate properly are those that handle alarms, timers, work with other applications, et cetera. Examples: mClock (Mobile Clock), Butler, TakePhone, 2Day, Ringo, Datebook, Quick News, third party launchers, device based backup utilities (Resco Backup, NVFS) any other programs that do things at a set time and there bunches and bunches of them. Those applications that can live on the card happily are those that do not interact with other applications and there are even more bunches of those.
So, you need to catagorize them into RAM and CARD applications and then install your applications accordingly.

Yes, you can create another folder with the same name (during your first Hotsync), then copy your apps back one at a time.

minifender, what bible apps are you using? I am currently using OliveTree Bible Reader. Its the best one I have found so far! I have been very impressed with it.
