Smile I want to sync emails but without a dataplan

if anyone can help me out with this I would be very grateful.

I have a Treo 650 with VersaMail. I don't want to get a dataplan or check my email on the go.

What I would like to do is write emails on VersaMail (or another email client) then when I sync, the emails in the outbox for VersaMail goto outlook and get sent on the next send/receive.

I have it setup to sync with Outlook 2003. The emails load into VersaMail's inbox just fine on the sync but the outbox messages stay in the outbox.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do what I'm trying to do?

I appreciate any and all help =) I've searched extensively for a solution (okay, for about 30 minutes) but no luck.

    cheers,

    dingo

I had problems with versamail on this same issue. Do you have your hotsync settings to sync or override???

If you can't get this to work you can place your messages in memos, tasks, or calender then after sync cut and paste in outlook into an email.

hmmmm, yeah I'm trying to make this as automated as possible. I appreciate that notes or memo is a work around, but its the automation I'm dying for.

Initially I had a weird situation where there were two users set up on my treo, then I fixed it so there was one. THe mail downloaded to the treo once fine, but the mail I put in the outbox (drafted on the treo) never synced to outlook.

I'll keep hunting for a solution.

In hotsync manager in versamail, under advanced is it set to sync your outbox?

    It sure is.

The more I search the more I seem to come across people saying "VersaMail is built to sync with a mail server, not outlook."

Back in the day when I had a Palm V, I could use intellisync to keep outlook synced with my Palm - go out, write some emails, come back, sync and outlook would send automatically. I'm going to be very distressed if I can't figure out how to do something similar on my Treo.

Perhaps I should try a reinstall of everything- can you tell me if VersaMail ordinarily is supposed to sync it's outbox to outlooks outbox under normail operations?

    thanks

Nope I can't answer your question about versamail and outlook. You might change your search to see if chattermail or one of the other email apps will. As stated above when syncing my treo got corrupted data and I had to clear the files out and start over so I quit syncing versamail. Hmmm maybe I did not state that above....
