| Icons and Programs How can I delete unwanted shortcut icons without deleting the progrm it self.
Also, is there a way to have the programs set themselves up in alphbetical order inside tabs in Zlauncher?
Thanks...Mike |

| ZLauncher ? I like to install any apps I can on my expansion card ans shortcut them or categorize then into appropriate tabs. My question is what is the best way to view the expansion card using the ZLauncher? I have to search around to find the hot synced app every time I install one. Also the icons on the ZLauncher always look a mess. What's the trick. Thanks...Mike |

| Most Most of the time, I install apps to the device first and then move them to the card. As far as finding files from the file manager, I often use the filter on the right hand side. It gives you several options, but I usually use the date/month option to quickly find my file. Creator is also a very handy filter. As far as Icons go, I don't know which ones you are using, but there are several icon files available, as well as themes. I just re-did my zLauncher themes. Its changed slightly since I put these up, but in case you are interested . .

Thanks...Mike | I looked for a setting that controls this but couldn't find it. All of my icons on all of my tabs are in alphbetical order already.
You can delete unwanted shortcut icons without deleting the program itself! But I myself have chosen the wrong one a few times! For example, my back-up app. I would install it to the device, and then go to launch it. It would ask me if I wanted to create a folder to the card, and I would say yes! Then I would have two back up icons on the device!!! I would choose one, delete it, and surprise! I had picked the wrong one. After the third time, I finally got lucky enough to delete the one that didn't delete the program along with it. I think the secret here is the options that it gives you, just before you delete. I think if you uncheck everything except "move to trash bin" you will accomplish only deleting the shortcut . . But I haven't tested this theory yet . . .

| I wish I had some sort of scientific reason why . . . I don't. If I am loading new software, I usually run a back up on my Treo first (saved to the SD card) Then I double click on the file I am going to load. It drops it into hotsync and then I sync the device. The next thing I do (unless its something that won't run from the card, like Treo Alarm, Ringo, etc) is send the app to the card, leaving only a shortcut on the device. Its just the way I do things in zLauncher and I really haven't pondered why . . .

This will save as much space as possible on the 650, which is a must!
