If you recently attempted to change your Treo Housing and as a result the only things that are working on power up are your keyboard and status lights do not panic. It's about a 99% chance that you didn't plug the ribbon cable that extends from the LCD Screen into the Motherboard correctly. Before we get started make sure that you properly ground yourself to prevent static discharge that will damage your Palm thus leaving you with the most high tech paperweight in your house! Now here's the goods:

1.) If you're having this issue I'm going to assume that you already know how to open your phone so I'll start under the impression that your phone is already disassembled. Now look on the ribbon cable extending from the LCD Screen...there should be 2 white parallel lines close to the edge of the it. You want to make sure that you stick the ribbon cable into the little clasp on the motherboard far enough so that when you pull the clasp down the first line is no longer visible. So in other words you need to stick the ribbon in far enough so that the first White line is in there too. But be careful not to damage the ribbon...this is a very tricky process. What worked for me was instead of trying to push the ribbon directly in head on I placed a portion of the ribbon in and then I placed the screen ontop of the motherboard and pushed the curve in that was created since the ribbon was bent. I know that barely makes a bit of sense but play with it...trust me it'll go in! Good luck!!!
