    Need Help Instant Messanger 650 treo- and is it part of Cingulars Data plan

    Cingular can not make up its mind if it is part of their data plan or not. Does anybody have the real scoop? Also, I want to use Yahoo messenger. Do I have to use some other 3rd party software to get it to run? Can I just download it free from yahoo? I have the Treo 650.

    Cingular does not offer any instant messaging that I am aware of.

    Have a look at Verichat for all of your IM services:

    you will need a 3rd party application either verichat or mundu.
    you must have internet access in you treo (DATA PLAN) for you to be able to connect to your yahoo messenger
