Insurance?
I just purchased a Treo 650 for Verizon off of ebay. Will Verizon insure it even though it was not bought by them?

Initially, I thought so..but I'm not sure. We were having the same discussion over in General Discussion. Waiting for pointman to check back on his findings.

Chances are it won't have anything outside of the standard apps which is fine. If and when you "hard reset" the Treo, it will be brought back to it's factory state. When you install Palm Desktop and sync to your Treo, the device will bear your name. If and when you add software, the developers use your HotSync id or name as a means to provide unique registration codes.
I'd recommend getting used the apps that ship with the Treo. I'd caution you not to add too much third party software from the get go. Too much too soon could cause for an unstable Treo. All of the programs in the Everything Treo Software are available as free trials. Between the free trials and discussions here, you'll get a good idea of what's good.
