Default Interested in 650

i am currently considering getting a new 650 but i have a few questions
1st: what profiles are in the bluetooth setup?
2nd: does the phone transfer the audio for the mp3 player directly to the headset?
3rd: Video can i put a mem card in with a movie on it and watch it on my screen?
4th : what video formats does it support? (.wmv, .mp4, .avi) along those formats...
i currently have a dell axim (it sux and so does dell) it has no BT profiles init so the headset i have is worthless period. i can use it with my moto V551 but who cares.

MY goal is to have a unit that can makes calls , take pics and read ebooks and watch video as well. i dont play games other than solitare on it so gaming isno biggie.. but i do like movies and books.. can anyone help with these questions?

Welcome to the forum. I haven't jumped into video yet, but hopefully I can answer your first two questions.

Headset, Handsfree, Serial Port (for BT HotSync). A2DP support is available with 3rd party software.

You would need this software and a supported audio headset.
I'll let some of the video gurus answer #3 and #4.

eReader is probably the most popular e-book reader for the Treo. The built in cam functions as a camera and camcorder. You may want a 3rd-party photo viewer.

No, I don't think it will work with a BT headset. I think you need to have stereo headphones that support the A2DP profile. From the Softtick website:
Quote:
Q: Can you please tell me if this product will allow me to listen to audio through mono bt headset?
A: Most mono headsets do not provide A2DP profile which is required by Audio Gateway. Such headsets use SCO chanels to stream audio (BT Headset / HandsFree 1.x profile) only. Currently this profile and channels are not supported by our product. We will try to add this capability in the future version if this is possible.

Yes, the MobiPocket reader will work on the Treo. I've just been using e-Reader since it was known as PeanutReader. The basic version is free as well.

It will support AVI video you will need PocketDivXEncoder if you have movies on your HD, dvd shrink if the movies are on your dvd and you can also get another program called lathe to help convert. you can take a 4 gig movie and when done right it will come down to 250mb or so w/ sound and you can use tcpmp to watch them on.
