Guys,

1. Could someone please tell me the files that need to stay in RAM/ROM and which files I can place on the SD card and still have those programs work using Zlauncher, or recommended launcher?

2. Is there a user manual for Zlauncher floating around out there? The site link is no longer functional. Does anyone have it saved as a PDF?

3. What directory are files placed in on sd cards so that Zlauncher can utilize/see those files for use?

4. Where can I go to learn more about files/extentions that are commonly used in the Treo Palm Family, so I am not force to waste time asking rookie questions.

I don't use ZLauncher, so I can only help you with this one. Basically anything that works with alarms, replaces a default app, runs on a schedule, and/or runs in the background needs to stay in RAM. Anything else should be fine on the card.Some examples: TakePhone (dialer replacement), BackupBuddyVFS (scheduled backups), Datebk6 (alarms), and TreoAlarm (alarms) all must stay in RAM.

An excellent answer! However, launch time is related to file size and number of files. Applications such as AvantGo take forever and three days to launch.

#2 - in the download file, look in the help folder and take a look at Indexen.pdf, that's the manual.

#3 - ZLauncher takes care of that for you. When you move an application to the SD card, ZLauncher creates the following:

/Palm/Programs/ZLauncher/Apps/ and in the Apps folder is where it creates lil subfolders for the applications.

#4 - read the forums, look at what is on your device and the default file structure(s).

Good point. Luckily the 755p memory is such that for now I have everything running from RAM. I'm sure it won't take long before I begin to fill up RAM and need to install my trusty copy of PowerRun to make some breathing room.
