Default Invalid media or Track 0 bad - disk unusable

    Hi,

I followed the instructions on this site to download movies to my SD card. I guess the file is corrupted.... I want to delete the movie on the SD card bcoz it is not playing....

Now, when I use my card reader to read this SD card, it is asking to format... when i click on format ..it completes 100% but says format not completed.

    I tried using DOS command

    format e: /FS:FAT32

then, it gave this error message:

Invalid media or Track 0 bad - disk unusable

whts up.. how can i erase all the information on my SD card and then use it again normally...

    thanks... any help is appreciated....

It sounds like your card is bad.

The 650 doesn't work with FAT32, unless you've hacked the ROM. Try FAT instead.

    Kreth,

I did try both Fat32 and FAT formats......

Ealier, the moment I plug in my card reader it used to show a small window asking me wht to do like: open folder to view files, take no action etc., but now when I plug in the card reader, I dont get that window. When I open 'My Computer' I can this listed as "Removable Disk"...

When trying to format both FAT and FAT32, i get this message:

Windows was unable to complete the format.

    wht can i do...

plunker is right, it sounds like a bad card. I just noticed that you had FAT32 in your command, but it's probably the card. If you just got the card, you should be able to return it.

make sure the write protect switch isn't locked on the card. Reboot the computer. insert the card and try the format again. for whatever reason when i tried to format one of mine it wouldn't let me because some program was trying to access the card during the format. the reboot cleared that out for me and it formatted fine. if that doesn't work then i also agree that it's a bad card.
