Default It makes calls by itself

    Hi,
I have a Palm Treo 650 , its a couple of months that my friends and family complain about me making them calls and not talking.I've always thought that maybe carrying around the phone I may have pushed some buttons involuntary.
Two days ago I saw it happen: my palm was on my desk with the monitor off then it suddenly switched on calling the last number I had called . I closed the call and after that the same thing happened for at least three times while i was was watching the phone without touching anything.
Today after receiving a call I received a single ring from the same person that called me, then another one and again , about ten separate single rings. I called this person back and asked what was going on ,but he said he hadn't made any rings or calls after the first one.
    Any idea?Ghosts?

    Hi:

Can't say I ever heard of that before. First, what third-party software do you have? Any programs that interact with the phone and dialer?

This will sound strange, but no worse than my other guess...Poltergeists! Do you have a voice dial program that might be responding to a series of noises or even hearing "I have to call John" in a conversation?

Have you tried any resets to see if that solves it? There are a number of different resets with increasing levels of data loss. Make sure you have a back-up before resetting. Here is a link to descriptions of the resets:

I hope this can help. Let us know.

    Default Poltergeists and othe Delights

I've had the very same issue! At first I thought I was inadvertently pressing buttons, but I have Keyguard on, which seems to be working properly. Sometimes I'll have the Treo in my pocket and all-of-a-sudden I hear a voice saying "Hello??... Hello?" Then it happened while it was just sitting on my dresser charging, which is when I realized it was being caused by someting other than my pressing buttons.

I don't have any voice-dial programs and have upgraded the firmware several times (from Sprint). I'll try Steve's suggestion of the resets link, but if anyone else has any recommendations, I'd appreciate receiving them.

    Thanks!
