Default junk B gone

had my treo for over a year. downloaded plenty of programs, however, i am looking to re-install everything. what i really want is to have the treo with the same programs i had when i initally purch. it. and get rid off all the "junk" (which i though i would use but i don't). a simple clean up.
any suggestions?

RKo

Just do a hard reset and it will go back original out of box state. Hold the power off button while you hit the reset button under the battery cover with stylus. Continue to hold the the power off button until the grey screen comes up with the palm logo, then release power off. Then it will ask you if you wanna erase all press up.

Also, the very first thing you install after doing the hard reset should be a good uninstall manager. I use Destaller Pro, and it has worked very well for me. Others may have more suggestions.

Hello RKo,

This is Kevin from Palm. All good advice given above. Just an advisory, if you're not aware, to rename your back up folder before you hotsync again after the hard reset. Otherwise, much of that extra software will be reinstalled automatically. Take a look at the Palm Knowledge Library article "Diagnosing problems caused by third party applications" for details, if necessary. It doesn't relate to your issue exactly, but the part about renaming the backup folder still applies.

Sincerely
Kevin

all good advice. simply drag and drop those needed or used programs back into the installer. as kevin points out, if you simply restore, it'll restore all your misery too! there's plent of flotsam that gathers-slim down; perfect opportunity
