Default Just got my first Treo 650, quick question

First I have to say, I've had this phone for 2 days and LOVE it!! My question is...On the applications screen, can I delete some of the icons like Quick Tour and Welcome? If so, how?

hmm i thought the same thing but i havent figured out a way yet and didnt want to mess with too many files. what i did is made a seperate category called "my treo" and just labeled the icons i use most under that category and that way i dont have to flip through too many just hit them with my thumb when i turn it on

I thought that too, but would still like to know if and how it can be done.

The sales guy at the Sprint/Nextel store sold me a Motorola H700 BT headset($120), but after trying it out, it wouldn't work very well if the phone was more than 1 foot away. It had terrible static and after about 3 feet away would cutout completely. So I did some research and it seems the best BT headset is the Treo($55). I ordered that yesterday and should have it in a few days.

Next I have to get a case and I've done a ton of research, but it didn't help, so I'm going to the flea market this weekend and try different cases and see what works best for me.

It can be done, but its not easy. Things such as quicktour are in the ROM and the only way to rid yourself of these things, is to install a Customized ROM. Do it wrong, and you have a new Treo Paperweight.

As far as how its done? check out this link

Well...I don't need it gone that bad. I'll just live with it. besides, my wife would kill me if I turned my $300 Treo into a paperweight!!!

What I did was to create a new category and only include the icons you want.
