Keepimg text private
:sad:On my former Verizon Treo 600 I had "Butler" to hide my text mesgs. and just give me an alarm that one had arrived.
Now with the Verizon 650 I'm back to square one since "Butler" will NOT stop the text mesgs. from popping up on my screen for anyone to see.:mad:
Any ideas on stoping this from happing.
I know all other phone co. offer that within the Prefs. to make it private.
But it is not there with Verizon.

Do you have the option to do this, though?
go to preferences > sounds and alerts > messaging > tones > uncheck show message alerts.
I don't have Verizon, so this is pretty much trial and error.

I feel this way of "hiding" Text Messages is prety lame....
I feel they should have included a password to view them not just tap a button to show them.....
Not very secure if you ask me....

Very true. I guess they were banking on us using the phone lock feature for further security. I wonder if 'AppLock' would remedy this- anyone tried it?
