keeping contacts

My buddy has a company's Treo 650 Verizon. He has to give back the treo but wants to keep the contacts. Can't hotsync it (its the comp. pc and they spy on his activities).
Is there a way?
Maybe use my Treo somehow?

The simplest way that jumps to mind would be to create a new contacts category on your Treo, call it BUDDY, and have him beam his contacts to you. When you accept them, accept them into the category BUDDY. Once they're safely aboard your Treo, do with them what you will.
