    Bluetooth devices should be able to communicate and perform but only after being paired. Try to pair you device either using the car or the phone. make sure that the bluetooth option in the car is turned on so the phone could find it. I dont know the features in the car but think that you might be able to answer the phone using the steering wheel buttons or something like this. try to pair them and make a test. that is my best suggestion.

    Default Treo 650 and 2004 LS430 Bluetooth

    I too am having problems. The phone indicates that it is set up for bluetooth, but the car will not acknowledge the connection. I spoke with a techy at Verizon-Wireless and they are neither aware of any problems with the Lexus nor what I can do to resolve the problem. I surfing the internet though, I have noticed that there are some other people have the same problem as I. I have not yet contacted Lexus to see what they have to say.
