The frame rate on mobi really isn't very good but considering what it is...you gotta say it works great!
Oh! I got it now!
I thought there was a reason why he had specified 512MB. (Like, instead of the 1GB). Silly me! It must be your new avatar that confused me! :p

    Default MobiTV on Treo?

Wondering if anyone has any update on progress towards viewing television on our Treos?
Sure would be fun, if it was available!

Its available, but depending on where you live seems to be depending on how good it is.

I've noticed that its listed on Cingular's web site as an add-on . . .

    Default Treo TV

Thanx for the tip Stillrockin. Checked out the channels... haven't looked at Cingular's prices, but most likely won't pursue since the major networks aren't available yet. I'm considering it mostly for sports and won't be covered with the channels offered. Can't be too far away though, I figure!

I think an more intriguing option (although it requires $200 worth of hardware) is SlingMobile -- which is now available as a beta for Windows Mobile devices. The idea of controlling my TiVo from my Treo is pretty amazing. The merging of two of my favorite gadgets. If it works well and I'm understanding it correctly, I could watch all of my DirecTV programming and have full access to recorded programs.

I'd give MobiTV (see review) another try if it were available on Verizon's EVDO -- I wasn't thrilled with it on the 650 using Cingular.

Ive got mobi tv on mine but its for sprints network. The picture is a little choppy at timesbut the sound is really good. so if you dont mind choppy picture then i would recomend this. I can here everything that is going on on the tv but sometimes the lips just dont match up with the talking.

Ive got about30 channels (supposidly we are getting more channels with sprint coverage when i dont know?) and my favorite channel is comedy time. its just stand up comedy 24 hours a day. you get news and sports and cartoons and football but i usually watch things like that on the big screen.

Anyway it aint that bad of a program.

Went from samsung to treo 600 to treo 650 and been with Sprint the whole time!!! NO PROBLEMS HERE!!!! Sprint PCS user!!! Running Zlauncher, Documents to go, Splash wallet (splash id, photo, money, shopper), ringopro, mobitv, Diet and excersise assistant, Splash Blog, and my favorites...spades, Bejeweled 2, Warefare Incorporated lol:tongue: I was about to buy mobil write but i triedd the trial and it sucked.

System Tools or Repair MobiTV - Expected more

I bought MobiTV for my Cingular Treo 650 and was pretty dissapointed. The picture was really choppy, the audio left was not the best even with headphones, and often the stream was cut and had to reconnect. I am in Miami, FL and no matter where I was I still experienced poor quality.
Another concern is, if MobiTV was formatted for a regular cell phone screen, the quality on the Treo 650 screen, which is bigger, naturally will be worse. It is a lot bigger screen.
I really like the idea of being able to watch cable channels on my 650 but the quality right now stinks.
