Default Live Television on your Treo via MobiTV

MobiTV is currently beta testing their service on the Treo. Before long, we can expect to see live and recorded shows right from the Treo. Their channel lineup is impressive:
    • MSNBC
    • NBC
    • Discovery
    • TLC
    • ABC
    • ESPN
    • FOX Sports
    • CNBC
    • Vegas Sports
    • Vegas Scoreline
    • California Music Channel
    • CMC
    • CMC Beat Lounge
    • Comedy Time
    • Fashion TV
    • CNET
    • Discovery Kids
    • ToonWorld
    • CSPAN
    • CSPAN 2
    • Discovery Espanol
    • MLB
    • Weather Channel
    • CNN
    • ITN
    • Cartoon Network
    • Extreme
    • ShortsTV
    • CBC
    • RDI
    • The Weather Network
    • FOX News Channel
    • G4
    • The Shopping Channel
I wish I got in on the beta testing, but that train has left. I've contacted MobiTV in hopes that Everything Treo will get the news asap on availability. Baseball Tonight from my Treo? I'm sold.

    Default I'm sold too!

    Thanks for this news!

The Treo just gets better and better. I've already got several DVDs worth of video loaded on my 2 GB SD card, but MobiTV is what I really want.

Similar to audio where I have many mp3s loaded but generally listen to Internet streams with Pocket Tunes, I'm sure I'll watch MobiTV instead of carrying around a lot of pre-recorded video.

If they want someone else to beta test it...

Depends on the monthly cost. I hope they don't price it too high.

    Default MobiTV pricing

To be honest (as I was just saying to my girlfriend), the price would have to be *mighty* high to keep me from subscribing. I want this so much!

I just hope it's a flat monthly charge. If it were by usage, then I'd probably shy away from using it. I'm curious as to the programming. Last night, I went to a show in Manhattan that let out at 11pm. I would have loved to watch Sportscenter or Baseball Tonight on the train home.

It mentions that billing is handled through Handmark. I'm guessing Handmark will be selling the software and codes to access - along with month fees similar to Pocket Express.

    Good find.;)

hopefully after the beta test which seems to be going really, REALLY good! Great video on the 650 and sound is supposedly real good too......

Hopefully they won't raise the rates....
