long delay between applications - Treo Forums

Could someone please help me with this issue

I just bought my Treo 650 from Cingular 2 days ago. Now, when I switch between 2 Apps - like Calendar to Phone, etc., there is a long 30 second delay when the screen is just blank, but lit up until the next app shows up. Is this a ROM issue? If so, how can I speed things up. It just started happening.
I have 16 megs free, and the phone info is:
Treo 650 1.04-CNG, Firmware 01.05

It's not a ROM issue and this should not be happening. Try a soft reset. Open the back of the Treo 650. Next to the battery is a small hole that says "reset". Use your Stylus and insert to Reset your Treo. Now, you should see the Palm splash screen, followed by the Palm startup. See if that cures it..

I soft reset, and no difference. It's actually more like 45 seconds...very frustrating.:mad:

Have you added any new applications or utilities around the time you started having problems?

I figured it out. Whenever My bible SD card is in, the delay happens. The card must suck up ROM or something. So I have to keep a different SD card in the slot. It doesn't happen with others, like my 'Road Maps' or 'Websters Dictionary Thesaurus'. Just have to put in the bible card when I need it.
